Some of the questions often asked include:Is there a minimum size home I must build?Yes, Segnette Estates protects our home owners by requiring certain minimum home sizes which, vary depending upon lot size, and range from 2,100 square feet for homes on our smallest lots to 2,500 square feet for our largest lots. Is Segnette Estates a gated community?No, but Segnette Estates will be completely enclosed by an attractive wall and fence. Also, since we are not gated, home owners are not responsible for security or street maintenance. Security is provided by the Westwego Police Department. Can I have any builder construct my home?Yes – Segnette Estates does not require our home owners to use any particular builder. All builders must be licensed in Louisiana and adhere to the minimum square footage requirements of the deed and title restrictions, and the provisions of the design and construction guidelines and procedures, but you are free to select the builder of your choice.
